For over five years now, mailmarketing has been working with the charity Erskine to handle all of the responses and mailings required from customers and supporters making contact through the organisation’s website. These customers are usually purchasing branded Erskine items as a way of supporting the charity and its work. There is also a requirement to effectively distribute fundraising materials to staff and volunteers.
One recent campaign involved merging, printing and mailing letters to donors. This campaign was aimed at explaining gift aid, a vital method of reclaiming tax for charities. The take-up to the personalised mailing was extremely positive with a 27% response rate resulting in £6,000 in straight donations and £29,000 in reclaimed tax.
Erskine is looking after more and more veterans coming out of the armed forces. A brand new garden centre is an example of one of the larger scale projects that Erskine has developed as they introduce new initiatives as part of the ongoing process of raising funds and providing support for ex-service men and women.
Sarah McNaught is the Marketing Manager for Erskine and commented on the relationship:
“We appointed mailmarketing over five years ago, after talking to a number of other companies in the marketplace. They seemed extremely efficient and were close at hand, which was important to us. I visit the team on site about three times a year and they are always friendly and helpful. When we were initially setting up online sales, mailmarketing's Sales Director, Jan Morris, was particularly helpful with making sure everything was connecting across the different systems.
Her strategic input on what processes should be in place at the start, right down to what sort of product lines we should have available, was all invaluable advice.”
